Tim Pößnecker
Tim Pößnecker is Minister of Research at futur eins. He is passionate about constructive journalism and data analysis, which help to identify pragmatic solutions in the areas of climate and social issues and to better understand global interrelationships. He is interested in how this data can help to objectify public discourse so that we can tackle current problems together. It is important to him that the debate focuses not on the question of blame, but on the question of the best possible solution.
He studies journalism and communication science as well as political science at Freie Universität Berlin. In his studies, he focuses on disinformation in public discourse, media system theories, and international relations.
At futur eins, he contributes his scientific curiosity and combines it with editorial work. He participates in the conception and implementation of new projects by researching and processing content so that it can later be used in a solution-oriented manner.
When he finally gets around to reading a book in his spare time, it's usually dystopian futuristic literature. He is currently reading the Jackpot trilogy by his favorite author William Gibson, who defined the cyberpunk genre with his Sprawl trilogy. With a certain degree of abstraction, Gibson addresses the collapse of a rule- and value-based world in which the stronger seize power.
Even though he repeatedly plunges into these stories with fascination, they also remind him every time why it is worth fighting for a better future together.
