Dr. Gergana Baeva addresses issues related to the digital public sphere: from platform and AI regulation, to digital media literacy and resilience, all the way to structural challenges in journalism. As a media policy advisor, she advises the Bundestag parliamentary group of Alliance 90/The Greens and conducts research on media and internet policy.

Utopia

Our social and political order depends on our ability to communicate calmly and respectfully and to negotiate solutions. Unfortunately, the digital infrastructure is poorly designed for this purpose: the foundation of our society is eroded daily by hate, targeted disinformation, and polarizing voices. It is up to all of us to redefine the rules together: with bold and consistent regulations, as well as with media literacy and mutual support.
