Strengthening Democracy – Supporting Civil Society. At the core of the work of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung, or bpb) is the promotion of awareness for democracy and political participation. The bpb addresses current and historical topics through events, print publications, and audiovisual and online resources. Its event formats include conferences, congresses, festivals, fairs, exhibitions, study trips, competitions, film seminars, cultural events, and journalist training programs.

Together with the Federal Agency for Civic Education, we have implemented the study "Source: Internet?", the Newstest, and the program Fake Train.
